Join Derek Croxton, the game’s designer, for this exciting opportunity to learn and play<\/strong> King’s Coalition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

King’s Coalition is card drafting game for 2-5 players.\u00a0 The king needs the parliament to vote him taxes, and your job is to build the strongest coalition in your hand of 7 cards.\u00a0 The cards come in 8 asymmetric classes, from the numerous but weak peasants (all valued 1 or 2) to the few but strong nobility (all valued 7 or above).\u00a0 Each card counts its face value for scoring, but you also get bonuses for multiple cards of the same class or a run of 6 or more numbers regardless of class.\u00a0 In addition, variable bonuses appear during the game that give 10 to 30 points for different combinations of classes.
King’s Coalition is a highly interactive game that rewards strategic thinking.\u00a0 It plays in half an hour.<\/p>\n

After each demo, games will be formed with 2-5 players per game. The final will be played with 4 or 5 people, depending on participation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For each Heat, the GM will teach the game rules.<\/p>\n

The group will then be divided up into one or more games, based on attendance. Winners will automatically qualify for the Final game later in the day. Some best seconds may also advance if needed to fill the final table up to 4 or 5 players.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Those unfamiliar with the game must<\/strong> attend the one of the demo sessions. Additional players who already know the game may join in once the demo is complete.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Derek will be available to consult on rules questions as we expect many new players.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prize:<\/strong> The winner will receive a copy of the game<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
