Random table assignments for each round. Four player games are preferred, but a few 3 player games may be used if needed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h5>Elimination Rounds:<\/h5>\n<p>a. The top 16 players based on performance in the heats will be eligible for the semifinals. There will be four 4-player games in the semifinals. When the SF ends, there will be a short break and then players will begin the Final.<br \/><strong>Note:<\/strong> The St. Petersburg 2nd edition (2014) may be used in the heats if all players agree.<\/p>\n<p>b. Final of 4 players &#8211; Random seat positions, then draw for starting markers.<\/p>\n<h5>Rules Version \/ Common Mistakes \/ Special Rules:<\/h5>\n<p>a. No variants, no special rules. Only cards and their original point values from the 1st edition will be used.<br \/>b. Clarification: Cards drawn from the Observatory must be shown to all players.<br \/>c. No Special Building (Pub, Warehouse or Observatory) can be upgraded in the ROUND it is used.<br \/>d. The Warehouse MAY be upgraded if it holds four cards, but CANNOT be upgraded on a round when a 4th card was added.<\/p>\n<h5>Tie Breakers (individual games):<\/h5>\n<p>a. Most Money<br \/>b. Least number of Aristocrats<br \/>c. Most blue cards<br \/>d. Dice roll<\/p>\n<h5>Time Limit Adjudication:<\/h5>\n<p>Time will be announced when 20 and 5 minutes is remaining. Games running at 90 minutes will conclude at the end of the current round.
