Each game falls into a category based on length, from the shortest games (Class D) to the longest games (Class A). Longer games earn more points than shorter games, based on the table shown below.

Detailed descriptions of the 2025 games are here.

Demos

Only games that are new to EuroQuest will have scheduled demos. All Wild Card demos will take place on a designated table in the New Games Demo area and are scheduled for one hour. Players are encouraged to play Wild Card games in the open gaming area after obtaining a scoresheet from the front desk.

Procedure

To start a game, a player should find an available table in that area and set up one of the games on the Wild Card list. Once the minimum number of players for the game is present, a score sheet should be obtained from the registration desk. Any players arriving within five minutes of this time (up to the maximum) will be allowed to play. A second copy of a game should not be set up until the first has started. If space is needed or there are too many pending games, tables with games that do not attract the minimum players within 15 minutes can be reclaimed at the GM’s discretion. Players in the Wild Card event should know the rules to the game being played. Players are encouraged to teach and learn games in the Open Gaming area.

Schedule

Unlike other events, there will be no scheduled rounds. Games can be started on Wednesday from 2PM until 12 Midnight, Thursday from 10AM until 12 Midnight, Friday and Saturday from 9AM until 12 Midnight, and Sunday from 9AM until 2 PM. On Sunday all games must be completed and all score sheets turned in by 3 PM.

Pairing

Players are encouraged to play a variety of games as much as possible. Players who have accumulated a large number of Wild Card points such that they are highly ranked on the Wild Card leader board are encouraged to play with other similarly ranked players.

Points System

Points are based on the games being separated into four time classes, by the number of players in the game, and your finishing position as shown in the tables below.

TIE BREAKERS

Tie Breakers for all games can be found here.

Class D – approx. 45 minutes

Max – 20 points/game

Eligible Games:
Can’t Stop
Harmonies
Lost Cities
Ink
Sea Salt & Paper

Scoring for Class D

2 player

1st place: 5pts, 2nd place: 0 pts

3 player

1st place: 10 pts, 2nd place: 5 pts, 3rd place: 0 pts

4 player

1st place: 15 pts, 2nd place: 10 pts, 3rd place: 0 pts, 4th place 0 pts

Class C – approx. 90 minutes

Max=40 points/ game

Eligible games:
Moon Colony Bloodbath
Lets Go!
