The war game track is back for 2026!
This year we will be teaching and playing The Battle of the Five Armies. This standalone game is based on the climax of JRR Tolkien’s novel The Hobbit – and pits the boss of the Elvenking, the Dwarves of Dain Ironfoot, and the Men of the Lake led by Bard the Bowman against a horde of Wolves, Goblins and Bats led by Bolg, son of Azog.

Format

Scheduled Games
Friday:
9 am: Demo (Check the schedule for location)
10am: Round 1
1 pm: Round 2
4 pm: Round 3
7 pm: Semi-Final
Saturday
9 am – Final
How to play
Report to the designated area for a round at the announced time. The GM will coordinate multiple games during each time slot. Please bring a copy of the game if you have one.
We will assign players to opponents who they have not played before and who have similar records.
After three rounds the best 4 players will advance to a semi-final, followed by a final. If turnout is low, at the GM’s discretion we may skip the semi-final and go straight to a final on Friday evening.
